People don't like snails, but I do. I have always liked them. They are beautiful creatures and they need to eat. And well if they are eating the plants you like then you are not growing enough of them! A garden needs to be balanced. You need to have enough of everything. No excess of one thing but a little of everything. And you need to give the plant enough so it can reach its full potential. If you have enough snails; you might get birds. Maybe even a hedge hogs; I love hedge hogs. They need a lot of snails a day. If you want hedgehogs better not kill those snails. I don't eat snails. I am not to fond of the French kitchen, not yet. Maybe if the chef is hot.
Yet, If you have snails and want to terminate them, do it fairly. Take the effort and go catch them. Eat them or feed them to birds or fish. Don't just poison them. Some people catch them then put salt on them so they melt and dry out. Why torture them. Just feed it to something else; man or beast. Everything tastes good with garlic, even stinging nettle. Then at least the snail did not die for nothing.
